Synthia
Miller is a highly committed professional photographer with more than
twenty years of experience in her field. Her talent as a photographer
began when she moved to Chicago in 1979 and has
subsequently taken her around the world with stops throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
As with most budding photographers, her favorite subject was children
and to this day, her passion still lies in this venue. Her on-the-job
training, augmented by a wide variety of specialized photo courses and
a degree in Business Administration has enabled her to successfully
manage and operate her own photography studio.
Prior to beginning her photography work full time, Synthia spent 10 years
working in Human Resources for an international manufacturing company.
Synthia is married and resides in Winfield, Illinois. In her leisure time, she
and her husband enjoy traveling together in their motor coach and
spending time at their farm in Pike County, Illinois.

Genette Parsons

Genette
Parsons is a co-founder of Heartworks Photography, Inc. She has been
taking pictures since she got her first camera, a Kodak Brownie, in
1959. Over the past 40+ years, she graduated from reluctant family
members and sleeping pets to professional venues. Her work as Director
of Christian Education and Youth Director at St. Mary's Cathedral in Memphis, Tennessee, provided countless
opportunities to know and learn from children while photographing them
at work and play.
Genette
fine-tuned her photographic skills following her passion for wildlife.
She travels extensively, particularly in North and South America photographing a wide
variety of wildlife including white Harp seal pups and Giant Tortoises.
Genette
studied English and creative writing at the University of South Alabama and Memphis State University. After attending the University of South Alabama, she trained and worked as
a surgical technologist. She also completed a four-year course of
theology from the University of the South. She is married to Dr. Ward
C. Parsons and has two children and three grandchildren.

Charlotte is a very active community
service participant with a B.S. in Medical Technology and an M.P.A. in
Finance & Policy Analysis from University of Colorado at Denver.
In
addition to her work as the V.P. and Director of Fulcrum Publishing,
Inc. in Golden CO, she also serves on a variety of Boards. Her work
with Auraria Library Advancement Council,
Friends Foundation of Denver Public Library, Denver Art Museum, Tesoro
Foundation, and National Trust for Historic Preservation illustrate her
commitment to the community.
Charlotte is also a published author
and avid reader. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, scuba
diving and adventure traveling with her husband, Robert.

Dr.
Panesar is a practicing pediatric pulmonologist in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he has dedicated his
life to caring for children. Prior to his current position, he served
as a pediatric pulmonologist in Dallas, TX..
Kelvin
received his bachelor’s degree from Houston Baptist University and then his medical degree
from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency and
fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. He is currently the
director of the sleep program at Our Children's House at Baylor.
He
is involved with research related to cystic fibrosis, gene therapy, and
interstitial lung disease. In addition to Heartworks, Kelvin serves as
an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American
Thoracic Society. He and his wife Vicky reside in Richardson, Texas with their two young boys,
Luke and Alex.

Bob
is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Civil
Engineering. He owns a small Surveying and Civil Engineering firm in Phoenix. Bob and his wife Chris
have chosen children as their life commitment. They have 14 children,
13 by adoption and one by guardianship. Their children come from a
variety of countries and include two from Korea, one from India, one from Haiti, one from Ethiopia and 9 from their home state
of Arizona. Six of their children were
born with a heart defect and they lost one of their daughters 16 years
ago following heart surgery.
In
his spare time, Bob likes to travel with his family. One of his
favorite destinations is New York where he loves to go to
Broadway shows and explore Central Park. Another favorite vacation
spot is the Oregon Coast where he enjoys fishing,
crabbing and kite flying with his kids.

Following
his military service with the Army in Panama, Bob graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1963. In
addition to his bachelor’s degree from PCB, Bob has a Masters Degree in
Management and Human Resources from Lewis University, Chicago, IL.
With
over 40 years of experience working in the ministry, Bob currently
leads an organization called Fresh Start. Fresh Start is a training,
consulting and resource service assisting denominational and local
church leaders. Bob has been married to Sally Humphrey for 40 years and
they have three children and three grandchildren. They make their home
in Summer Hill, Illinois. Bob’s special interests
include hunting, hiking, and woodworking. He enjoys the outdoors and is
an active conservationist.

Wendy
is a graduate of University of Arizona with a degree in Child
Development and Family Relations. As a certified Child Life Specialist,
she has over 12 years of experience working in a variety of areas
within the hospital setting. She currently works in the Cardiac ICU at
Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Arizona.
Wendy is an
important contributor and active member of the Heart-to-Heart Cardiac
Support Group. She also works as a Certified Bereavement Facilitator.
Wendy and her daughter Sydney enjoy traveling and spending time
together at their home in Phoenix.
